Raise the Wage for Tipped Workers!
The minimum wage for tipped workers has been frozen at the federal level at $2.13/hour since 1991. On top of low wages, many tipped workers do not receive important benefits like paid sick leave, paid vacation leave, or health insurance through their employer. From a business perspective, all of these factors increase employee turnover and diminish service quality with impacts the bottom line.
It’s time to increase wages for tipped workers and support the financial health and opportunity for Nebraska’s hard-working families and their children.
Paid Family Leave for Nebraska
Too many working families in Nebraska have no access to paid family leave to care for a new child, a sick loved one, or themselves during a serious illness.
Demand Action for Nebraska’s Middle Class
Middle-class families are getting left behind. Policymakers should focus on working families during Nebraska Legislative Sessions.
