Also included in these scorecards is each senator’s support on priorities based on their votes on specific legislative measures throughout the session.

LB 13

HCM Position: Support

LB 13 requires the Department of Health and Human Services to file a state plan amendment relating to child care.

LB 182

Introduced by Senator Elliot Bostar

HCM Position: Support

LB 182 changes provisions relating to the Affordable Housing Tax Credit Act and the Child Care Tax Credit Act.

MO 256 to LB 258

Introduced by Senator Jane Raybould

HCM Position: Oppose

Motion 256 to reconsider LB 258. LB 258 would establish a sub-minimum wage for youths aged 14 and 15 and amend the 90-day training wage for new employees to apply to youth ages 16-18 at a rate of $13.50 per hour through December 31, 2026, and a rate of 75% of the minimum wage on and after January 1, 2027.

LB 275 requires the Department of Health and Human Services to screen state wards for social security benefit eligibility.

MO 259 to LB 319

MO 259 to reconsider LB 319. LB 319 changes eligibility requirements for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) by removing the current lifetime ban for the Program for individuals convicted of certain drug-related felonies.

LB 415

LB 415 changes provisions of the Nebraska Healthy Families and Workplaces Act and the Conveyance Safety Act and provide for offset of debt owed due to the overpayment of unemployment benefits under the Employment Security Law against gambling winnings under the Gambling Winnings Setoff for Outstanding Debt Act and against future benefits under the Employment Security Law.

AM 1225 to LB 192

Introduced by Senator Bob Andersen

HCM Position: Oppose

AM 1225 to LB 192 adds work requirements to LB 192. LB 192 eliminates the October 1, 2025 sunset on Nebraska’s current eligibility level of SNAP set at 165% of the Federal Poverty Level. Nebraska’s SNAP eligibility is set to go down to 130% of the Federal Poverty Level on October 1, 2025.
